The development of a single-family home, which is planned and realized during the course of the book, provides the background of this course. Students will be given an insight into the terminology common to the building industry and will go through some of the planning phases of a project. These could be for instance the feasibility study, the description of the plot, the construction itself or the completion of a building. Project phases come with vocabulary, exercises and practical advice.
